Hello there!
My name is Sophia Joy Veit and the reason I make art is in my name, to create joy. My work is shape driven filled with vibrant colors, whimsical line work and uplifting themes of nature and travel. Tremendously inspired by legendary Disney artist, Mary Blair, I strive to design illustrations that are playful yet sophisticated like hers. My ambition and professionalism has earned me opportunities to work with clients such as Breakthrough T1D, the Urban Ecology Center and recently, Marquette University. Currently studying illustration and animation at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, I am an extremely hardworking 4.0 student with strong passions in illustrative surface design and book design. As I continue to learn and grow in school, I am excited to keep expanding my skills and create art that brings joy to the world.
